On Friday, a fabulous programme was organized at the Deptt. of Radiology of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital. The programme was begun jointly by Vice Chancellor, Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Dr. Yashbir Dewan, Principal, Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences, Dr. R.K. Verma, Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital’s Chief Medical Superintendent, Dr. Prerak Mittal, Medical Superintendent, Dr. Ajay Kumar Pandita, Medical Superintendent, Dr. Gaurav Raturi and HOD, Deptt. of Radiology, Dr. Rajeev Azad by lamp lighting.
While addressing the gathering over the occasion, Dr. Yashbir Dewan said that large number of patients from Uttarakhand and nearby states reach Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital for treatment. He said that all the doctors and staff of the hospital have to ensure their positive roles in serving the patients. He urged that it’s the moral responsibility of all of us to provide satisfactory healthcare facilities to each and every patient.
Chief Medical Superintendent, Dr. Prerak Mittal said that more than 50 patients reach Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital everyday to get done MRI. With the introduction of this new MRI machine, a unique impetus will be provided to the hospital to reduce the waiting time in MRI thereby giving a big relief to the patients.
HOD, Deptt. of Radiology, Dr. Rajiv Azad, informed that this 3.0 Tesla MRI machine manufactured with German technique is well equipped with all the ultra modern facilities. He said that on world scale, in modern medical science, 3.0 Tesla MRI machine is being used successfully. This is an ultra modern of MRI. With the help of this machine, the doctors will be able to diagnose and understand the patient’s disease by full body imaging and vascular imaging.3.0 Tesla MRI machine is capable of conducting even the minute and micro tests of the patients of cancer, heart and neuro. In this machine, the scan time is less and the results are more accurate. The occasion was also marked by the auspicious presence of all the HODs, doctors, whoel team of Rdaiology Deptt., staff and medical students.
