The Department of General Surgery at Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital was established in the year 2002 and is a busy academic and clinical unit of the hospital that caters to about20000 outpatients each year as well as undergraduate, postgraduate and paramedical students that are studying at the SGRR University.The department with its five units provides care to surgical patients across the spectrum of diseases that encompass the discipline of General Surgery. The department has IPD bed strength of 150 beds and conducts average of 250 to 300major and minor surgeries per month.
