Inauguration of Modern Clinical Trial and Research Centre at Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital
On the occasion of International Clinical Trials Day for the first time in Uttarakhand, a dedicated CTRU Clinical Trial and Research Unit has been established.
The research will be done under the supervision of Dr. Tanuj Bhatia, Director Clinical Trials and Research.
A new centre was inaugurated at Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital on the occasion of International Clinical Trial Day on May 20. It is worth mentioning that since the year 2016, work on clinical trials is going on at Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital. On May 20, this center was started as a modern center. Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital is the first hospital in Uttarakhand and western Uttar Pradesh in which clinical trial work was started from the year 2016. The objective of this center is to make clinicians understand the use of modern medicines used for future treatment. Patients will get the benefit of research and research done in this center.
On Tuesday, Prof. Rajesh Kumar was admitted to Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital. Dr. Manoj Kumar Gupta, Director, Sri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical and Health Sciences, Dr. Utkarsh Sharma, Chief Medical Superintendent, Mahant Indiresh Hospital, Dr. Ajay Pandita, Medical Superintendent, Dr. Gaurav Raturi, Medical Superintendent, Dr. Amit Maitreya, Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital jointly inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp.
Director of this unit, Dr. Tanuj Bhatia, Head of the Department, Department of Cardiology, Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital informed that research and research on new medicines will be done in the Clinical Trial and Research Unit set up at Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital. When any research or training is done under clinical research, it is called a clinical trial. When we prepare a vaccine or drug for the prevention of a disease or the drug or vaccine being developed which shows sufficient potential to prevent the related disease, then it is a clinical trial.
Dr. Jagdish Rawat, Senior Chest & Pulmonologist, Dr. Vivek Rohilla, Nephrologist, Dr. Tanuj Bhatia, Director Clinical Trials & Research, Dr. Mohan Dhyani, Senior Psychiatrist, Dr. Shobhit Garg, Senior Psychiatrist, Dr. Neeti Kumari, Dermatologist & Venereal Diseases, Dr. Rohitash Sharma, Senior Neuro Physician, Dr. Prashant Sharda, Interventional Radiologist Shri Mahant Indiresh is doing research and research on modern medicines at the Clinical Trial and Research Center of the hospital. Modern research on asthma disease has been done by Dr. Jagdish Rawat. Hundreds of asthma patients have received the benefit of medicine based on research conducted by them. Dr. Vivek Rohilla and Dr. Tanuj Bhatia are working on the research and development of modern medicines.
